My Three Step Plan

There are countless opportunities for the public to help the animals at the Wake County Animal Center.  After giving careful thought to a three step plan, I decided that a good friend of mine, Kristin, is a graduate of Meredith College who works in graphic design.  I decided that if I were to volunteer at the center and cuddle with the animals, write about our time together, and potentially still take their photographs, I could work with Kristin and her graphic design skills.  Together, we could create pamphlets, newsletters, and other ways to communicate about these animals to the public.  We could ensure that places such as PetSmart, Petco, veterinary clinics, and other local businesses had these pamphlets and newsletters to spread the word about these animals.  Think of how beneficial all of the information would be at an adoption day at PetSmart.  Working with Kristin to print the cost of adoption and other fees would help inform the public about what to expect.  I would want these pamphlets, newsletters, and other forms of communication to be available to the public.  I have a passion for animals and helping these animals get adopted.  I also have a passion for helping others and by informing the public on adoption fees and potential animals to adopt, I could make a difference.  I truly believe that the public needs to be more informed about just how important it is so spay and neuter pets, to adopt from the Wake County Animal Center, and to provide a loving home for pets.
Step two is working with the artist.  Kristin is a graduate of Meredith and majored in Graphic Design.  She currently works in Graphic Design is very passionate about her work.  I also know that Kristin is passionate about animals and has a dog of her own.  Kristin and I have worked together with Student Advising and make a great team!  I would be very excited to work with her on this type of project.  Step three is working with Kristin to decide the best ways to get information out to the public and what these potential newsletters and pamphlets may look like.  Kristin and I are both in the Raleigh area and could work together on this great project.

I imagine that my three step plan would feature pictures that I have taken at the Wake County Animal Center such as this one.  For example, I could use photographs of animals and discuss the fees that go along with adopting an animal.  I could also discuss the importance of adopting animals from the center.

I would want to feature photographs of both dogs, cats and little critters on the pamphlet to show the animals that the Wake County Animal Center has available for adoption.  The pamphlets could also feature the center's website, address, hours of operation, and phone number.

It is extremely important to post photos of the many different kinds of animals that are available at the center.  For example, I had no idea that the center had little critters such as Roger available for adoption.  This is great information for the public to know!

    1. Thank you so much for your comment! I tried to come up with a plan that would keep the public informed and get more information out about the available animals and the importance of adoption. Although I know the center has a great website, everyone does not use the internet and pamphlets and newsletters would help reach out to the public. I am glad you liked the pictures. Thank you again!

    1. Bailey, thank you very much. I wanted to create a plan that could keep the public informed and I tried to think of how the older generations do not always use the computer. The pamphlets and newsletters would allow the information to get out to the public and like you said...boost the interest level. I am glad you like the pictures and the variety! Thank you for your comment.
