This is Roger. I have never photographed in the "Little Critter" room before; however, on May 30th, Lauren, Brianna, and I decided to photograph a bunny! It was difficult to photograph Roger because of the lighting and the different objects in Rogers cage; however, it was rewarding. Roger posed many times for all of us to snap our shots! Roger would make a great addition to any home! What a sweet rabbit!

It was fun getting to know Midnight and I am so glad that I was able to spend some time with him. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt Midnight is in for a lifetime of fun and love!

I hope you all enjoy looking through these photographs. I found it challenging to edit fifteen pictures; however, I am working to become more confident in my editing abilities in Photoshop and hope I continue to improve throughout the course. These animals were incredibly sweet and playful. I was surprised that many of these animals did not mind having their picture taken one bit! I enjoyed my time at the Wake County Animal Center on Wednesday and working with Lauren and Brianna was a great deal of fun!

Your photos are great! You should be getting more confident in your editing abilities because you are doing a great job! One suggestion would be for you photo of Catalina I would make it a little brighter by changing your levels but other than that you are doing a great job with brightening the eyes and really focusing on the animals faces! I really like how you put a little description with each of the animals so we knew who they really are. I have the email for the person who does the descriptions for the animals you should email her telling her a few words about the animal so she can get it on their description card and help give these animals a better chance at getting adopted! Let me know if you want her email! Keep up the amazing work!!
ReplyDeleteAlso your picture of Wee Man is on the Shelter website! As well as some other ones!!!
DeleteKayley, thank you so much for your encouragement. It means so much to see such nice words from my classmates! I am becoming more confident; however, I know that I still have much more to learn. I will definitely take that suggestion about Catalina's photograph. I like putting a description of each animal as I feel that this lets everyone know how my time was with that particular animal. I would love the email, great idea! Again, thank you so much!
DeleteAlso, thank you for letting me know that several of my pictures are on the website! I was so excited when I saw that! Thanks for letting me know!
DeleteBrittany, I love all of your photos! I think by now all of us are getting the hang of getting the dog to focus as well as editing them. Your little saying for each photo is to cute and adds more about them. I really like the photo of Princess, shes seem like a sweet heart and I love her facial expressions. I also was taken in by they photo of the bunny, those critters are hard to capture nice work!!
ReplyDeleteBailey, thank you so much for your comment! I am so proud of all of us for continuing to learn so much. We are all improving each week! I like to add information about my time with each animal as if I feel this makes them more "adoptable." Princess is truly a sweetheart and I thought that the photograph really captured her personality. The bunny was extremely hard to photograph; however, I was pleased to get this picture! Again, thank you!
DeleteI am very proud of all of you too! You are correct that you are each improving each week. I appreciate you going the extra mile with writing up descriptions ("bio"s) for the animals. This personal touch and saying something unique about the animal helps tremendously with adoptions. These are good for the facebook page too!
DeleteProfessor Johnstone, thank you for your comment! It is nice to hear encouragement from our professor! We appreciate your patience and guidance through the course! I feel that these little "bio's" help my peers and others who read my blog know more about the animal. I like to put what happened during our time together and share what I learned about each animal. These would be great for the Facebook page, great idea! Thank you again!
